Your first serve attempt depends on the serve speed you choose. Here’s what to expect.
Upon successfully delivering documents, the server provides a signed affidavit that serves as proof of service and can be recognized by the courts.
Absolutely. Proof can provide mileage/witness fee checks. When you upload your job, you will have the option to choose whether it is a subpoena. You enter the amount for the check you’d like us to provide, we initiate the check and provide it to the server to deliver along with the serve documents. We will add the amount for the check plus a fee of 10% based on the amount advanced for printing & delivery of check. This will be a $2 min and $25 max to your final invoice after service is completed and you have received the affidavit.
You’ll get a dedicated Proof Specialist available to you for real-time chats on each job. Our team works with the server for each job to generate an affidavit after a job is served. The server then either certifies or signs a notarized version of the affidavit (depending on state), and then the finalized affidavit is uploaded to our platform. You are notified and are able to download the affidavit as a PDF.
You’ll have a chance to review the affidavit and let us know of any issues/changes are needed. But if all looks good, there is no action needed by you. From there, the job closes, and you’ll be billed/charged.
The affidavit is based on the attempts logged in the platform. We track geolocation for each serve attempt, and have photos of the serve attempt that get added as exhibits to the affidavit. That affidavit and any invoices/supporting documents are retained in our system for you to access should you need it in the future.
We are an online platform with over 1,000 process servers nationwide. In order to use Proof, you will need an account on our platform.
